Assistance Amount for Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes (SC/ST) Students
SC/ST students whose annual family income is below Rs. 2,00,000 are eligible to receive assistance from the Department of Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare.
Some guidelines for receiving assistance are as follows:
- Applications for assistance should be submitted at the welfare office.
- Assistance request forms must be submitted within 15 days of joining the college.
- Along with the new assistance request form, attach a certificate of eligibility for income and caste issued by the revenue authorities. Also, include a renewal request form for the subsequent year. These documents must be submitted together.
- All SC/ST students, including those newly admitted in the first semester, must apply for assistance in a new application. Existing students should not apply for assistance in a new application.
- When renewing assistance for the second and third years, all SC/ST students should submit a new assistance request form. When submitting a new assistance request, include only the revised assistance amount. No additional documents are required.
- Forward the completed assistance requests along with relevant certificates to the respective faculty advisor.
